Relationships
Here are my thoughts on relationships: They are supposed to bring you up, not bring you down. If you are consistently brought down and worried, it may be time to get help. It will affect your other relationships as well if it continues on this path. It will affect your children. Sometimes, it’s just a matter of learning to communicate better. Other times, it’s time to enforce major life changes.
Signs of a relationship that needs help:
1. You isolate yourself from others
2. You second guess yourself when you used to be confident
3. You fight about the same things over and over with no resolution (circular arguments)
4. There is substance abuse involved
5. You feel like you are living in a dark cloud
6. You feel as though issues aren’t being brought to you to address, but they are being brought to others outside the relationship or you are not going to your partner directly but going to others
7. You are nervous, depressed, distracted, have panic attacks
8. You have to watch what you say and do with more attention than you used to
9. People have seemed to have gotten into “the blame game”
11. You don’t feel supported or as if the other person sees your good qualities… and/or you can’t see their good qualities
12. You just can’t be your best self…
