Specializing in mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy for adolescents and adults

If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues or any kind of psychological distress, I offer a non-judgmental approach to counseling that includes specializing in mindfulness-based cognitive behavior therapy.  Much of my work has been with adolescents and I consider them to be a specialty.  I also frequently work with adults, families, and couples.  I enjoy being a witness to your life, using metaphors, helping to problem solve and brainstorm for solutions but mainly I am a listener.

Some of the issues I am experienced in treating include depression, anxiety, grief/loss, ADHD, issues related to trauma and abuse, eating issues, relationship issues (divorce, breakups, blended families), personality and mood disorders, Bipolar Disorder, and anger management.

For teens who are trying to find their career path and adults making career changes, I provide detailed career and interest testing in the office that you can take home with you.  This will include a thorough report of your strengths and interests as well as your personality type and what these types are best suited to career wise.

Mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy is an evidenced-based treatment approach.  I also utilize other therapeutic modalities including family systems theory, narrative therapy, DBT and ACT.
